Residential Gambling Program

How We Can Help

MCCA has developed an affordable inpatient treatment program for those suffering from compulsive gambling addictions. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, MCCA’s environment helps clients gain insight into destructive behavior patterns, replacing them with healthy coping skills. Treatment is supplemented with an individualized continuing care program. Effective techniques are developed to help clients overcome the emotional pressures and environmental triggers that lead to gambling.

The Recovery Process

Our professional staff consists of a Director of Clinical Operations, Program Supervisors, and numerous counselors and monitors all working toward one goal – helping our clients overcome addictions.

Clients participating in the Residential Gambling Program at McDonough House will follow an individualized treatment plan developed in conjunction with their primary counselor.

The Residential Gambling Program builds a solid foundation focusing on self-esteem, coping skills, decision making, problem solving, stress management, communication and social skills and lifestyle changes.

Inpatient treatment typically lasts seven days allowing clients to gain the necessary education and stability for a successful recovery. Upon completion of the program continuing care planning, including referrals to outpatient programs for gamblers, is implemented to ensure the highest possible rate of success.
