Women’s Program

The MCCA Women’s Program is an outpatient treatment program for chemically dependent women who are pregnant, postpartum and/or have children. The goal of the program is to provide intensive, structured chemical abuse and dependence treatment in order to assist women in maintaining abstinence, improving relationships and becoming a better parent.

Our objective is to keep our client in the home and working or going to school while treatment is progressing.

MCCA’s counseling staff is sensitive to the multiple roles women assume such as employee, wife and primary childcare provider, as well as issues of violence, assault, sexual abuse, trauma and family dynamics. The specific programs are targeted to produce positive outcomes for both the client and her family.

The MCCA Women’s Program is designed to overcome the barriers to treatment that often exist for women, by allowing mothers to bring their children with them. Children will be in a safe, caring and structured environment.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Fetal Alcohol Effect (FAE) and Drug Exposed Infants

Mothers in this program whose children have FAS, FAE and drug exposure will gain parenting skills to effectively manage the special needs of their children. The success of establishing a positive relationship between mother and child results in a healthier mother/child bond, enabling women to fully engage in their children’s development and enjoy the many wonderful rewards of motherhood.
