McDonough House – 28 Day Residential Program
McDonough House is a 20-bed substance abuse treatment facility located in Danbury, CT. Clients participating in the Intensive Residential Program at McDonough House follow an individualized treatment plan with their primary counselor. Attendance to individual and group therapy sessions are mandatory.
After an initial assessment, individuals are directed to the appropriate level of care. For some, detoxification in our medically monitored facility in Danbury is the first step. From there, clients may move onto outpatient, intensive outpatient or residential treatment—which includes short and long-term programs.
Continuing Care
Outpatient treatment is available at our seven outpatient facilities: Danbury, New Milford, Derby, Torrington, Waterbury, New Haven, and Bridgeport
Our professional staff consists of a program director, counselors, and substance abuse technicians—all working towards one goal…. helping our clients overcome addictions.

Family Program
- Weekly family program to help family members understand how addiction affects them
