Services

Vet House I & II

Vet House consists of two adjacent properties, Vet House I and Vet House II, and is designed to address the needs of homeless veterans.

Vet House I is located at 18 New Street in Danbury and can house up to ten male veterans: six live there on a transitional basis while the other four are permanent residents. There are currently six transitional beds and the four permanents assisted by Section 8 project based vouchers.

Vet House 2 is designed to address the needs of veterans and their families, and is located at 20 New Street. This building houses up to three veterans and their families who are at risk of being homeless. All three units are in one building conveniently located in downtown Danbury.

Any veteran at risk of being homeless, who is drug and alcohol free for thirty days may be eligible for occupancy at Vet House I. All utilities, furnishings and proper food are provided.

For Vet House II, a member of the household must be a military veteran. All rental voucher types are accepted: VASH and Section 8. All units are updated, with a washer and dryer, and new kitchen appliances.

MCCA is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c) 3 non-profit community-based organization.
